Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hassuni Croute (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ciaran Lacey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hassuni Croute has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hassuni Croute! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ciaran Lacey! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Croute throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Ciaran Lacey has been cut. Nice defenses there by Lacey. Hassuni Croute seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lacey shoots in looking for a takedown. Croute tries to sprawl out of it but Lacey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Croute manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nice takedown defense from Croute. No joy for Lacey on that attempt. Croute has his takedown stuffed and Lacey decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Croute's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Lacey pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Croute is keeping the position for now. Croute is trying to control the position but Lacey postures up. Lacey wants to pass the guard but Croute is keeping the position. Lacey preventing the sweep. Lacey avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lacey controls from within his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Croute working for a triangle but Lacey defends it easily.
Lacey passes Croute's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Croute is trying to control but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lacey trying to control the action but Croute is working from the bottom. Croute trying to control from the bottom.
Lacey looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lacey looks gassed! Lacey is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Croute has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lacey is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lacey uses his free foot to push down on Croute's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Croute. Croute working to try and regain half guard.
Croute tries to hold on but Lacey pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Croute is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lacey avoids the attempt from Croute to control. Lacey should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Poor strikes thrown by Lacey there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Croute is working to get back to half guard.
Croute tries to lock up and control but Lacey gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Lacey wants to control the pace but Croute is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ciaran Lacey dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ciaran Lacey's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lacey walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Lacey gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Croute counters with a three punch combo that has Lacey backing up. Lacey nods at Croute to acknowledge the strikes. Croute shoots in but no luck this time. Croute scores with a one two! Lacey had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Lacey stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lacey wants it to stay on the feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Croute tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Lacey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Croute really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lacey tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Croute is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Croute throwing hammer fists to the chest of Lacey. What's that going to do exactly? Lacey swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Croute is now in Lacey's guard. A big mistake from Lacey there, giving up the dominant position! Croute postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Croute is fighting to break Lacey's control of his arms but Lacey is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lacey is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Croute wants to control from the top but Lacey keeps moving. Lacey is trying to keep Croute in close.
Croute with a flurry of punches that miss. Lacey is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Croute wants to pass the guard but Lacey is keeping the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Lacey has his takedown stuffed and Croute counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lacey! Croute knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lacey on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lacey wants to hold on but Croute pushes him away. Croute controlling the position easily from mount. Lacey is in all sorts of trouble here.
Croute controlling from mount. Lacey is desperately trying to improve his position but Croute has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Croute looking to finish with strikes here!
Croute is working for a guillotine from mount but Lacey frees his head quite easily.
Croute lands a heavy elbow. Lacey tries to get back to half guard but can't. Croute tries to control but Lacey wriggling away. Croute looking to finish with strikes here!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hassuni Croute dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Ciaran Lacey's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Croute drives through with a takedown into guard. Ciaran Lacey has got the better of the ground game so far. Lacey has control of Croute's left arm, preventing Croute from doing any damage. Lacey looking for a sweep. Not yet Lacey, not yet. Croute drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lacey manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Croute has Lacey in his guard. Lacey won't allow Croute to sweep him here. Croute being controlled here, momentarily. Croute keeping moving, preventing Lacey from controlling successfully. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Croute is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Lacey wants to control from the top but Croute keeps moving. Croute is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lacey defends well. Lacey works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Croute is not content to let Lacey control the position. Croute is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Croute is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lacey uses his free foot to push down on Croute's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Croute. Lacey controlling from mount. Lacey trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Despite being in the dominant position, Ciaran Lacey just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Croute goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Croute tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A head kick misses from Croute. Lacey misses with a takedown and Croute counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Lacey is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lacey is trying to maintain the position but Croute is very close to passing his half guard. Croute wants to control but Lacey is keeping him busy. Lacey moves into full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Hassuni Croute showed his dominance in that final round. I think Croute has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
