Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hayato Gokudera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gordie Green!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Gokudera.
It looks like Gordie Green has been cut.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Green.
Nice body kick there by Green.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Green steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gokudera.
Horrible takedown by Gokudera or perhaps it was just good defense by Green which made him look bad.
Gokudera is breathing heavily.
Green looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Green drops back looking for a leg! Gokudera is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gokudera manages to kick Green off! Green jumps back into Gokudera's guard.
Gokudera preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Green stands up from Gokudera's guard - Green perhaps looking for a knockout.
Gokudera looks to land a right hand but Green moved out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gokudera throws a hook but Green avoids it easily.
Green swinging wildly here.
Gokudera avoids a kick to the body.
Gokudera scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Green tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Green is trying to control but can't.
Gokudera trying to mount his opponent but Green defends it.

Green is trying to stand.
Green keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Gokudera is looking to take a break and control but Green is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gokudera prevents Green from improving his position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A nice leg kick lands there from Green.
Green misses with a series of wild punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Green shoots in and bounces Gokudera off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Green postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gokudera is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Green, into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Green controls Gokudera momentarily but Gokudera frees himself.
Green striking off his back but it's not causing Gokudera any problems.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gokudera stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Green swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gokudera is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Green is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Green has escaped and now he's on top!
Green stands and steps away. Gokudera gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gokudera avoids the head kick by Green.
Green is looking to clinch but Gokudera is avoiding it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gordie Green dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Gordie Green's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Green closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gokudera to the mat! Gokudera manages to get full guard.
Gokudera is trying to keep Green in close.
Green drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Green jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Green connects with a couple of short punches.
Green gets to his feet - Gokudera follows without any prompting.
Gordie Green is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Green wants to clinch.
Green comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Green tries to close the distance and clinch but Gokudera swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Gokudera keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Green displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gokudera throws out the jab.
Green misses with a head kick.
Gokudera blocks a head kick by Green.
Gokudera throws a lazy right hand but Green sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Green lands a nice looking body kick.
Green lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Hayato Gokudera has been cut.
Green bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Gokudera tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Gokudera circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gokudera slips a jab and a cross from Green.
Green tests Gokudera's chin there with a solid looking shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Green tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jab, jab by Green - just one landing.
Gokudera is rocked!
Green clinches.
Oh Gokudera is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Green lands a shoulder strike.
Green gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Green passes into half guard.
Green lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Gokudera quite badly. Gokudera pulls Green in close trying to recover. Green postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Gokudera on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Gokudera doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gordie Green!
