Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jae Sun Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Davenport (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davenport is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ruff Ryders - World War III. Jae Sun Kim had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jae Sun Kim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jason Davenport! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davenport closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kim did well to prevent Davenport getting side control. Kim looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Davenport throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Davenport wants to work for an arm triangle but Kim is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kim tries to get to full guard but Davenport has control of the leg. Davenport is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Kim wants to control but Davenport is keeping busy.

Davenport winds up and cracks Kim with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Kim is looking for a sweep. Davenport is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Davenport wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kim keeps working. Davenport throwing shots but Kim is blocking nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davenport stalling. Davenport is working for a kimura but Kim is defending it quite comfortably.
Davenport not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Davenport looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Davenport sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kim defending well though.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kim fails with the takedown and Davenport counters with a takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davenport taking a breather here. Kim takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Jason Davenport dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kim looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Davenport shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davenport lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Kim is squirming around, avoiding Davenport's attempts to control the action. Kim tries to hold on but Davenport pushes him away.

Davenport looking for a guillotine from mount but Kim is having none of it. Kim takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Kim is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Jason Davenport showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kim is trying to stand back up but Davenport is controlling him

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kim looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Kim not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jae Sun Kim has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Davenport must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kim is striking off his back. Davenport thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Davenport is trying to control. Kim wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Davenport prevents Kim from improving his position. Jason Davenport is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kim is not content to let Davenport control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Jason Davenport comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Davenport has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
