Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Logan Punish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fellipe Briz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Logan Punish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fellipe Briz! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Briz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Punish sprawls well initially but Briz persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Briz seems to be looking for submissions.
Punish knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Briz on the ground. Briz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Punish doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Briz. Briz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Punish is concentrating on defense, preventing Briz from advancing position. Briz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Punish is just riding it out for now. Briz eventually gives up the hold. Briz stops Punish from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Punish makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Punish misses with a head kick.
Punish lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
No luck for Briz with that takedown attempt. Punish lands a nice looking body shot.
Briz looks gassed! Punish has managed to clinch.
Punish stalls. Punish manages to pull guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Briz drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Punish dives on top into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Punish tries to stand but Briz is controlling from the bottom. Briz looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Punish stands and throws Briz's legs to the side, diving into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Punish throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Punish wants to lay and pray for a moment but Briz keeps working. Punish looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Briz is avoiding damage well.
Briz trying to remain calm as Punish controls from the top position. Briz is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Briz looking for submissions off his back. Briz looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Punish decides to stand and escape the position. Punish closes the distance and clinches. Punish breaks from the clinch.
Punish takes the fight into the clinch. Punish unloads a knee to the mid-section. Briz lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Briz wants a takedown but no success here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Punish is stalling here.
Punish is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Briz pulls him back up using the underhooks. Punish pushes off an throws an elbow but Briz leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Briz can't get the takedown.
Logan Punish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fellipe Briz. Briz looking for a takedown. Punish controlling the action here for a moment.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Briz as Punish tries to tie him up. Briz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Punish pulls his leg out and moves away.
Punish misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Logan Punish dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Punish shoots in for a double leg but Briz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Punish lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Punish. Briz shoots in for a takedown but Punish shows good takedown defense. Punish gets a clinch. Briz tries for a takedown but Punish manages to get underhooks.
Briz blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Punish manages to break the clinch.
Logan Punish is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Punish instigates a clinch. Briz gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Punish regains guard.
Punish is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Briz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Briz forces his way into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Briz is trying for a kimura here. Punish looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Briz wins by kimura!
