Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Glen Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wandy Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ride Till I Die kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Glen Knox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wandy Walker! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Knox.
Walker shoots in for a double leg but Knox sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Knox tries to bum rush Walker with a series of wild strikes but Walker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Glen Knox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walker keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Knox. Knox lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walker circles away quickly and effectively. Walker shoots in for a takedown but Knox shows good takedown defense. Walker shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Knox sprawls well. Knox wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Walker gets slowly back to his feet. Glen Knox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wandy Walker. No joy there for Knox, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walker uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Knox. Knox throws a right and a left that Walker avoids nicely. Walker fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Knox's waist but Knox gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walker off to one side. Knox throws a one two combo.
Knox jabs Walker right on the nose. Walker blinks but takes it well. Knox throws a right hand that Walker ducks under and follows up with a left that Walker also avoids with ease. Walker showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Knox.
Knox scores with a hook. Walker moves out of range as Knox strikes. Walker slips a jab from Knox. Knox connects with a nice looking jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Knox. Knox misses with a wild body shot. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Walker. Walker has a takedown stuffed. Knox swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Walker walks into a left hand. This has been an exciting period of action! A telegraphed right hand from Knox misses the target. Knox misses with a two punch combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Knox on the side of the head. Knox slips under a jab from Walker. Walker slips under a jab. Knox throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Knox takes a swing at Walker's ribcage but misses. Knox throws a nice looking combination but Walker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Walker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Knox throws the left hand but Walker avoids the punch easily. Knox misses with a wild body shot. Knox tries to bum rush Walker with a series of wild strikes but Walker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Knox looks to land a combination but Walker avoids it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Knox connects with a solid leg kick. Knox throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Walker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Knox. A jab lands there for Knox. Knox looks to score with a jab to the body but Walker is just out of range. Walker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Knox throws a combination that misses and Walker counters with a lovely straight right hand! A punch combination from Knox misses. Knox throws a jab but it's blocked by Walker. Walker blocks a jab. Knox's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Knox duly obliges. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Glen Knox dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Walker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The crowd cheers as Knox lands an impressive looking overhand right. Walker doesn't seem phased though. Walker is trying desperately to land a takedown but Knox is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Walker. Knox takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Glen Knox is winning the standup battle so far. Walker misses with a takedown attempt - Knox sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Walker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Knox swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Walker counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Walker closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Knox throws a combination that misses and Walker counters with a single leg into guard. Knox didn't expect that. Walker pushing down on Knox's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Walker is working for a submission of some sort.
Walker is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Knox!
That's one minute gone in the round. Knox is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Walker looking to control but Knox is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Walker controlling the position easily from mount. Knox is trying to escape the mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Walker swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Knox is now in Walker's guard. A big mistake from Walker there, giving up the dominant position! Knox stopping the sweep attempt from Walker.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Knox sitting in guard, not really doing much. Knox has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Walker keeping moving, preventing Knox from controlling successfully. Walker had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Knox defends it easily. Knox trying to control but Walker is working from the bottom. Walker working for submissions but it's allowed Knox to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knox not landing any meaningful shots this time. Walker tries to get to full guard but Knox has control of the leg. Walker looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Walker is breathing heavily. Walker is looking to control Knox's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Walker avoid being mounted? Knox performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Knox tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Walker actively working from the bottom here.

Wandy Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

and Walker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Knox's guard. Knox is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Walker is controlling him. Knox can't keep his opponent in guard - Walker advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Walker stops Knox from getting back to his feet.
Walker wants to free his trapped foot but Knox is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knox is trying to stand up here but Walker is controlling him well. Walker is trying to control. Knox wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Walker is looking to advance position but Knox won't allow it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Walker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Knox fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Knox manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Walker looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Walker is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Knox pulls his head out easily. Walker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Nice strikes from Knox there. Knox trying to pass the guard but Walker defending well. Knox is taking a breather. Walker says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Walker wants to control but Knox is keeping busy and won't allow it. Knox knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walker on the ground.
