PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Best (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Hester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Best looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Best prevents Hester from improving his position. Best keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Hester makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hester. Hester is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hester can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Best controls the pace. Best will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hester escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Best gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hester not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. Best is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Hester has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Best is looking to defend but Hester has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Best! Hester pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Best taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Patrick Hester!
