The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ruas fails with an attempt to clinch.
ruas tries to close the distance and clinch but Davies swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
ruas misses with a wild combination.
Davies throws a looping overhand right but ruas ducks down to avoid it.
ruas pushes Davies up against the cage in a clinch.
ruas gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Davies.
Davies has ruas pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. ruas manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Davies manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Davies looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Davies manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. ruas manages to get himself to full guard.
Davies thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Davies has gone for a leg lock! ruas slips out almost immediately though and dives into Davies's guard.
ruas wanted to stand there but Davies had control of the position.

ruas is posturing up here but Davies has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! ruas tries to roll out but it's too tight and ruas has to tap! Slick submission there by Davies!
