Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacque Strope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luigi Beretta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacque Strope!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luigi Beretta!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beretta shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Strope sprawls well. Strope wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Beretta gets slowly back to his feet.
Beretta throws a right and a left that Strope avoids nicely.
Strope throws the left hand but Beretta avoids the punch easily.
Strope throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beretta.
Beretta lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Beretta.
Beretta moves away from the strike by Strope.
Beretta lands a with a good body shot.
Beretta tries to bum rush Strope with a series of wild strikes but Strope uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Strope dodges the punch combination from Beretta.
Beretta looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Beretta looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Strope is fending him off so far but Beretta persists. Nope, Strope circles away and we're back to standing.
Jacque Strope has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luigi Beretta.

Beretta stops Strope from getting back to his feet.
Beretta is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Strope!

Beretta has control of Strope's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Strope regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Strope keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The referee warns Strope that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Strope wants to hold on but Beretta pushes him away.

Beretta can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Strope is looking to escape.

You get the feeling that Strope really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Strope reaches up to try and control the position but Beretta seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Strope rolls and tries to escape and now Beretta has his back!

Beretta is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Strope defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Beretta is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Strope knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Strope for a finish.

Beretta is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Strope rather than just go for the knockout.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Strope takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Strope is rocked!
Beretta closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Strope out cold! Strope corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
