The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Otto lands a high kick!
Otto throws a body kick that misses. No joy there for Escudero, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Otto. Escudero bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. No joy there for Otto, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Otto plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Escudero avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Otto misses with a head kick.

Otto throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Escudero scores with a jab. Otto acknowledges it with a nod of the head. A big right from Otto misses. Escudero lands a nice hook to Otto's body. Otto takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Otto has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Otto there as he acknowledges the shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Escudero takes a swing at Otto's ribcage but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Escudero keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Escudero counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Otto is breathing heavily. Otto dodges the punch combination from Escudero.
Otto throws a head kick that misses. Escudero checks a low kick from Otto. A head kick misses from Otto. Escudero looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Otto throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Escudero. Escudero misses with a two punch combination.
Otto throws a head kick that misses. Otto walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Nice shot by Escudero. Otto misses with a head kick.

and Escudero counters with a nice uppercut. Otto pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Otto falls off balance throwing a combination
and Escudero counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Escudero thuds his right hand into Otto's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Jay Otto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Otto lands a high kick!

and Escudero counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Escudero Rushes Otto and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Otto is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Escudero Piles on the pressure and Otto crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
