Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nerubian Assasin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Satriani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Satriani is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Satch Boogie. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Donk. Satriani catches Assasin right on the button with a cross.
Satriani ducks under a wild hook from Assasin.
Satriani fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Satriani throws a leg kick which misses Assasin's front leg but catches the back leg as Assasin tries to avoid it.
Assasin throws a hook but Satriani avoids it easily.
Satriani moves away from the strike by Assasin.
Satriani scores with a kick to the midsection.
Satriani goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Assasin misses with a hook.
Satriani keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Left hook, right uppercut from Satriani.
It looks like Nerubian Assasin has been cut.
Assasin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Satriani bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Assasin's head.
Satriani tries a head kick but it misses.
Assasin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Satriani was well out of range. Poor timing from Assasin.
Assasin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Satriani can pounce on him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Satriani lands with a kick to the temple. Assasin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Assasin throws a leg kick
and Satriani counters with a head kick that wobbles Assasin - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Satriani sends him down. This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Satriani!
