Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castillo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pablo but Pablo pushes him off and we're back to square one. Pablo misses with a double jab.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Castillo. Castillo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pablo's half guard. Castillo is working for a kimura but Pablo is defending it quite comfortably.
Pablo is trying to stand up here but Castillo is controlling him well. Castillo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's one minute gone in the round. Castillo is working for a submission of some sort.
Castillo looks gassed! Pablo looks like he's trying to stand up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pablo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Castillo shoots in but no luck this time. Juan Pablo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ezio Castillo. Castillo shoots in for a double leg but Pablo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Castillo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Pablo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. No luck for Castillo with that takedown attempt. Castillo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pablo forces Castillo back against the cage and clinches. Pablo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pablo scores with a jab to the body. Pablo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pablo tries a head kick but it misses.
Ezio Castillo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pablo misses with the combination.
Castillo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Castillo looking to pass the guard. Pablo tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pablo wants to stand but Castillo is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castillo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Castillo pushes down on Pablo's leg and manages to get into half guard. Pablo wants to get back to his feet.
Pablo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Castillo is working away from the top position though.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Castillo fails with the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pablo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Pablo!
Castillo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pablo pinned against the cage. Pablo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Pablo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Pablo gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Pablo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Castillo takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Pablo lands a jab to Castillo's midsection. Pablo lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Castillo backs up against the cage.
Pablo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Castillo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Pablo closes the distance and clinches. Castillo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pablo pulls his leg out and moves away.
Pablo looks to land a combination but Castillo avoids it well. Pablo misses with a double jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Juan Pablo dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Pablo gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pablo manages to break the clinch.
Pablo doesn't manage to clinch there - Castillo circles away.
Castillo shoots in looking for a takedown. Pablo tries to sprawl out of it but Castillo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pablo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nice sprawl there from Pablo as Castillo shoots in. Pablo digs a good hook to Castillo's body.
Castillo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Juan Pablo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ezio Castillo. Castillo takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Pablo gets a clinch. Pablo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Juan Pablo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pablo scoring well with a low kick there.
Pablo scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Pablo lands a two punch combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. No joy there for Pablo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pablo throws a right hand that Castillo ducks under and follows up with a left that Castillo also avoids with ease. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Castillo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Pablo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castillo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Castillo fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Pablo connects with a single shot there. Some wild striking there from Pablo.
Pablo swings away with a leg kick that misses. Juan Pablo is winning the standup battle so far. Castillo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pablo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Castillo looking to control but instead Pablo has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Pablo is holding on to half guard well. Castillo in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Pablo tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Castillo!
