Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bhody Guthrie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bhody Guthrie! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guthrie gets a clinch. A bit of stalling here from Diaz.
Diaz avoids a wild elbow strike from Guthrie. Diaz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Guthrie walks away with a smile on his face. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Guthrie is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Diaz's half guard. Diaz trying to control but Guthrie postures up.

Diaz trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Diaz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Guthrie scoring with some ground and pound. Diaz could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Diaz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz keeping full guard, as Guthrie tries to pass. Diaz tries to strike from the bottom.

Guthrie wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving. Guthrie stopping the sweep attempt from Diaz. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Guthrie decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Diaz, up you get!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Diaz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Guthrie fails to land the takedown. Guthrie gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Diaz breaks from the clinch.
Guthrie tries to clinch but Diaz is having none of it. Guthrie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Diaz as he jumps to the side. Guthrie looks gassed! Guthrie tries to clinch up but Diaz circles away and keeps his distance. Guthrie fails with a takedown attempt. Alejandro Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bhody Guthrie. Diaz keeps the fight on the outside. Guthrie waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Diaz.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz tries to clinch but Guthrie moves out of range. Bhody Guthrie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diaz feints and as Guthrie raises his hands in defense, Diaz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Diaz controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Diaz wants to stand and escape but instead Guthrie has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Diaz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Guthrie stopping the sweep attempt from Diaz. Diaz is trying to keep Guthrie in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guthrie decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Diaz, up you get! Guthrie tries to bum rush Diaz with a series of wild strikes but Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Diaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Diaz stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Diaz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Guthrie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Diaz wants to control but Guthrie is having none of it. Guthrie controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Bhody Guthrie will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Guthrie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Diaz did well to prevent Guthrie getting side control. Diaz trying to control from the bottom.
Diaz wants to get back to his feet.
Diaz makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Diaz. Diaz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Guthrie! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Guthrie gets back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz trying to control the action but Guthrie is working from the bottom. Guthrie gets full guard. Diaz preventing the sweep. Diaz looking to pass the guard. Guthrie looking for a sweep. Not yet Guthrie, not yet. Guthrie has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Diaz doesn't defend quickly enough and Guthrie has managed to lock this one up! Can Diaz escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Guthrie on a fantastic submission victory.
