Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dorian Prize! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leeroy Jenkins! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. No joy there for Prize, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jenkins avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jenkins fails with a takedown attempt. Jenkins shoots in and drives through. Prize sprawls well. Dorian Prize has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leeroy Jenkins. Prize lands a left and a right that send Jenkins crashing to the mat, dazed. Prize thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Leeroy Jenkins has been cut. Prize fails to land with a series of punches.
Jenkins avoids a punch combination nicely.
Prize misses with a two punch combination.
Jenkins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Prize's waist but Prize gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jenkins off to one side. Prize will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jenkins misses with a takedown attempt - Prize sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Prize misses with a two punch combination.
Jenkins shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Prize as he avoids it easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Prize throws a right hand that Jenkins ducks under and follows up with a left that Jenkins also avoids with ease. Dorian Prize is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenkins shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jenkins showed some decent athleticism there. Prize is breathing heavily. Jenkins is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jenkins throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jenkins is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Jenkins in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Prize tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Jenkins!
