The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yu takes a swing at Murphey's ribcage but misses.
Yu tries to bum rush Murphey with a series of wild strikes but Murphey uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Yu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Murphey shoots in and bounces Yu off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Murphey scoring with some ground and pound.
Yu is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Murphey wants to pass the guard but Yu is keeping the position.
Yu keeping moving, preventing Murphey from controlling successfully.
Yu on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Yu tries to get out of the position.
Murphey is pushing down on Yu's leg trying to pass to half guard. Yu is fighting to maintain full guard but Murphey has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yu is trying to maintain the position but Murphey is very close to passing his half guard.

Yu wants to improve his position but Murphey is controlling well.
Murphey passes to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Murphey is looking to take a break and control but Yu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
