Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sean Cantenberry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Afonso Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Afonso Ferreira is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Cantenberry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Afonso Ferreira! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cantenberry misses with a looping right. Ferreira takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Ferreira slips a straight right by Cantenberry. Cantenberry misses with a head kick.
Cantenberry pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ferreira drives through with a takedown into guard. Ferreira makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Ferreira stands up from guard. Let's bang! Ferreira avoids the head kick by Cantenberry.
Ferreira drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Cantenberry wants to stand but Ferreira is controlling the position. Ferreira trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ferreira trying to control but Cantenberry is working from the bottom. Ferreira has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Cantenberry would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Ferreira escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cantenberry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Ferreira keeping moving, preventing Cantenberry from controlling successfully. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cantenberry postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ferreira working a defensive guard here.
Cantenberry wants to stand and escape but instead Ferreira has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Ferreira stands and throws Cantenberry's legs to the side, diving into side control. Ferreira looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Cantenberry is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Ferreira has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ferreira wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cantenberry, who protects the arm well. Ferreira goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cantenberry has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ferreira but great work by Cantenberry. Ferreira looks gassed! Cantenberry throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Ferreira is looking to reverse the position. Cantenberry tries to stand but Ferreira is controlling his head. Ferreira manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Ferreira is trying to control the action in half guard but Cantenberry is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ferreira stops Cantenberry from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Cantenberry trying to control here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The fighters circling - Cantenberry throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Cantenberry misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ferreira drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Ferreira trying to control but Cantenberry is working from the bottom. Ferreira missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Afonso Ferreira dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
A head kick misses from Cantenberry. The fighters circling - Cantenberry throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Ferreira thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Cantenberry if he has to take too many more of those.
Ferreira shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Ferreira is looking to advance position but Cantenberry won't allow it. Ferreira is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

He's managed it... Nice work. Ferreira is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Cantenberry wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ferreira is thwarting Cantenberry's attempts to control the position. Cantenberry is defending against the submission attempts here by Ferreira.
Ferreira is breathing heavily. Cantenberry is looking for a sweep. Ferreira is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Cantenberry is looking to control Ferreira's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cantenberry avoid being mounted?
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cantenberry will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cantenberry lands with a kick to the temple. Ferreira shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Cantenberry gets caught flat footed, as Ferreira shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ferreira won't allow Cantenberry to sweep him here. Cantenberry is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Cantenberry preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ferreira trying to control but Cantenberry is working from the bottom. Ferreira missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ferreira is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Afonso Ferreira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Ferreira shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cantenberry manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Ferreira throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Ferreira trying to control the position from guard on top but Cantenberry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ferreira postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cantenberry is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ferreira, into his guard. Afonso Ferreira has got the better of the ground game so far. Ferreira is looking for a triangle but Cantenberry pushes his legs off easily.
Cantenberry has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ferreira takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Ferreira is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Cantenberry is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Cantenberry flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Ferreira anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Cantenberry and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Ferreira slips an arm under Cantenberry chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Ferreira has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Ferreira is squeezing on Cantenberry like an anaconda would it's prey. Cantenberry fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
