Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Wallus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Brown!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallus scores with a leg kick.
Wallus tries a head kick but it misses.
Brown moves out of range as Wallus throws a body kick.
Wallus throws and low kick but Brown moves out of range easily.
Wallus motions for Brown to come forward. Wallus throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Wallus walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Brown checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Wallus tries to score with a low kick but Brown moves his leg out of the way.
Brown shoots for a double leg takedown but Wallus sprawls well. He's pushed Brown's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Brown throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Wallus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wallus misses with a low kick.
A leg kick checked by Brown.
Brown stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Wallus.
Wallus throws a head kick but Brown moves out of range.
Wallus lands with a thumping leg kick.

Brown feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brown passes Wallus's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Brown works his way into side control.
Brown controls the position.

Brown tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brown has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Wallus on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wallus tries to get out of the position.
You can see the frustration on Wallus's face as Brown controls the position.

Brown tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brown has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Brown looks gassed!
Wallus is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Brown asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Wallus gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Wallus wants to try and get back to his feet.

Brown looking to isolate an arm here. Wallus doesn't see it coming and as Brown extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Brown!
