And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jiminez shoots for a takedown but Machida saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Machida shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jiminez as he avoids it easily.
Jiminez slips a jab and a cross from Machida.
Jiminez misses with a head kick.
Jiminez tries for a takedown but Machida circles away easily
and Machida decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jiminez's guard.
Machida is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Machida drops back looking for a leg! Jiminez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jiminez manages to kick Machida off! Machida jumps back into Jiminez's guard.
Jiminez looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Machida slips nicely into half guard.

Jiminez is looking to improve his position.
Machida moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Jiminez.
Jiminez wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Jiminez is trying to control Machida's posture but Machida avoids it.
Machida tries to advance to mount but can't.
Machida tries for a kimura but Jiminez is defending well.

Jiminez is trying to improve his position.
Machida is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jiminez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Jiminez tries to bench press Machida off him but Machida keeps the position.
Jiminez misses with a strike from the bottom.

Jiminez pushes Machida away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Machida gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
