Grant has chosen Beanie (Mack B****) as his entrance music. Dwight Grant will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Benson rushes Grant and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Grant breaks the clinch.

Grant connects with a right hand. Benson shakes it off.

Grant has closed the distance and engaged Benson in a clinch.
Benson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Grant's efforts to push away.
Grant wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Grant manages to break the clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Benson.
Grant avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Benson.
Grant manages to work his way to half guard, despite Benson's best efforts.
Grant moves into full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Benson wants to control from the top but Grant keeps moving.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grant tries to buck Benson off but Benson is having none of it.
Grant manages to get back to half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Grant is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Grant is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grant is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Benson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Benson's back!

Benson grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.

Grant thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Benson trying to control the position but Grant manages to sink in the hooks.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Benson tries to escape but Grant has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Grant lands shots from the back.
Benson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Grant on the ground.

Grant is cranking Benson's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Benson! He's tightened the choke and Benson is tapping out!
