Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Neilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Sisk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neilson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Who Run This- 50 cent. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Neilson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Sisk! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neilson throws a series of strikes that have Sisk backpedaling.
Neilson gets caught flat footed, as Sisk shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Sisk tries to free his leg and advance position but Neilson is retaining full guard. Neilson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sisk manages to get himself to full guard.
Sisk preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Sisk throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Neilson stands up and waves to Sisk to follow him. Sisk tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Sisk throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Neilson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. This has been an exciting period of action! Neilson fails with the takedown. Sisk scores with a takedown into Neilson's guard. Neilson wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neilson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sisk defends it easily. Neilson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Neilson wants to stand but Sisk is controlling the position. Sisk thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Neilson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Neilson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Neilson tries to get out of the position. Neilson is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sisk wants to clinch and Neilson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Neilson throws a series of punches but Sisk moves out of range. Neilson connects with a single shot there. Sisk tries to clinch but Neilson is having none of it. Sisk swings for the body but Neilson moves out of range.
Neilson swats away the attempt to clinch by Sisk. Neilson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sisk throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Neilson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Neilson with a body punch. A glancing blow. Sisk looks gassed! The fighters circle momentarily. Sisk darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Sisk falls off balance throwing a combination
and Neilson counters with a left to the body. Neilson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Neilson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Neilson shoots for a double leg takedown but Sisk sprawls well. He's pushed Neilson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Sisk slaps away a takedown attempt from Neilson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sisk lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Neilson circles away quickly and effectively.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sisk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Neilson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sisk somewhat. Neilson lands with a cross. Neilson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Neilson. Neilson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Neilson thuds a left hand into Sisk's body. Neilson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sisk is fending him off so far but Neilson persists. Nope, Sisk circles away and we're back to standing. Neilson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Neilson showed some decent athleticism there. Neilson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Neilson scoring with strikes to the body and head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sisk is trying to get back to full guard. Neilson is looking to take a break and control but Sisk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Neilson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Neilson working the head and body with strikes. Sisk trying to control from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Neilson lands with a punch from half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Neilson winds up and cracks Sisk with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Neilson is trying to control the action in half guard but Sisk is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sisk defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Neilson. Neilson just misses with a punch to the body.

Neilson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sisk goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Neilson is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Neilson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sisk has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Neilson has managed to get both his arms back between Sisk's legs - danger averted. Sisk being controlled here, momentarily. Neilson landing with the ground and pound. Sisk is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neilson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Neilson wants to control from the top but Sisk keeps moving. Neilson is in close to Sisk's body, working some short punches and elbows. Sisk wants to sweep but no luck. Neilson is looking to work some ground and pound but Sisk has wrist control. Sisk wants to sweep here but Neilson controlling him for the moment. Neilson looking to sit in guard and control but Sisk gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Neilson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sisk! Sisk really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Sisk is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sisk tries to lock up and control but Neilson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. A nice elbow there by Neilson. Neilson cracks Sisk with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Neilson is landing with some decent strikes but Sisk is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Neilson wants to control the pace but Sisk is squirming around nicely. Neilson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sisk is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Neilson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sisk's face.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Neilson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Neilson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Neilson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Neilson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Neilson pushes Sisk off looking to stand but Sisk dives back in and keeps control.

Sisk drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Neilson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sisk has Neilson in his guard. Neilson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
