Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Batton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Diamond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batton comes to the cage accompanied by Boga Boga. Jack Diamond has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Batton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Diamond! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Batton throws a series of punches but Diamond avoids them all with ease. Batton throws a right and a left that both miss. Batton tries to clinch but Diamond is having none of it. Diamond throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Batton blocks a head kick by Diamond.
Diamond lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Batton circles away quickly and effectively. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Diamond!
Batton wants to clinch. Batton moves out of range of the body kick. Diamond throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Batton doesn't manage to clinch there - Diamond circles away.
A head kick misses from Diamond. Diamond attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Batton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Diamond swats him away and circles back towards the center. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Batton looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diamond is looking to stand up but Batton isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Batton trying to stand up but can't free himself from Diamond's guard. Batton won't allow Diamond to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Batton lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Batton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Diamond has his feet on Batton's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Diamond looks to land a combination. Batton sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Batton tries to bum rush Diamond with a series of wild strikes but Diamond uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nice uppercut lands for Diamond. That snapped Batton's head back.
Batton pushes Diamond up against the cage in a clinch. A short body shot lands from Batton as the two fighters clinch.

Diamond is trying to break the clinch but Batton has him pressed against the cage. Batton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Diamond avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Diamond throws a right and a left that Batton avoids nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Batton blocks a low kick nicely. Diamond throws a combination that misses and Batton counters with a nice double leg into guard. Batton gets to his feet. Diamond looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Diamond looks gassed! Batton falls off balance throwing a combination
and Diamond counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Jack Diamond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diamond scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Batton gets a clinch. Batton displaying some good clinch control by pressing Diamond up against the cage. Diamond working hard to break the clinch. With the fighters up against the cage, Batton throws an elbow but misses. Diamond is looking to break free of the clinch but Batton has double underhooks. Diamond has had enough of the clinch but Batton keeps him there for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Batton jumps guard but Diamond stands there with Batton around his waist. Batton gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Batton takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Batton presses Diamond against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Diamond is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Batton slowing the pace effectively. Batton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Diamond moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Batton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Diamond is fending him off so far but Batton persists. Nope, Diamond circles away and we're back to standing. Batton closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Batton misses with a short punch on the inside. Batton breaks the clinch.
Batton tries to close the distance and clinch but Diamond swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Diamond connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Batton lands a body shot.
Batton tries to clinch up but Diamond circles away and keeps his distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diamond moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Diamond cracks Batton with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Diamond throws a combination that misses and Batton counters with a three punch combo that has Diamond backing up. Diamond nods at Batton to acknowledge the strikes. Diamond looks to land a combination. Batton sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Diamond is breathing heavily. Batton clinches but Diamond breaks the clinch letting Diamond counter with a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diamond tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Batton was well out of range. Poor timing from Diamond. A head kick by Diamond misses and Batton counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Diamond's guard now. Diamond is pulling down on Batton's head to control his posture. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Batton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Batton wanted to stand there but Diamond had control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Batton gets to his feet - Diamond follows without any prompting. Batton changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Batton gets in close and instigates a clinch. Batton breaks the clinch.
Diamond throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Batton. Diamond is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Batton moves into the clinch. Batton misses with some punches.

Batton closes the distance and clinches. Batton tightens his grip and picks Diamond up, before dumping him to the ground. Diamond manages to land in guard. Batton looking to sit in guard and control but Diamond gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Batton wants to stand and escape but Diamond is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diamond decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Batton, up you get! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Batton presses Diamond against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
