The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akamara is looking to clinch.
Holt with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Akamara closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Akamara lands in his opponent's guard.
Holt wants to stand and escape but Akamara is having none of it.
Akamara is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Akamara prevents Holt from getting back to his feet.
Holt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Akamara pushing down on Holt's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Akamara passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Holt!
Holt defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Akamara.
Akamara swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
