Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nils Dacke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Roger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nils Dacke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Jerry Roger!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roger fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Dacke looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Roger drives through with a takedown into guard.
Roger wants to pass the guard but Dacke is keeping the position.
Roger's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Roger slips nicely into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dacke controlling the position well.
Roger is controlling the pace.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jerry Roger just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Roger decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
I looks like Roger might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dacke wants to improve his position but Roger is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Roger in particular looking to stall.

Roger escapes and gets back to his feet.
Roger looks for a takedown but Dacke sprawls well.
Dacke moves in looking to clinch but Roger pushes him off.

Roger scores a takedown into full mount!
Dacke wants to hold on but Roger pushes him away.
Roger controlling the pace for now.
Roger prevents Dacke from getting the reversal.

Roger is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Roger shoots in looking for a takedown. Dacke tries to sprawl out of it but Roger keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dacke manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nils Dacke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Roger.

Roger looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Roger closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Roger tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Roger fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dacke sprawls well initially but Roger persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Roger gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Dacke tries a head kick but it misses.
Dacke shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Roger sprawls well. Roger wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dacke gets slowly back to his feet.

Roger clinches up against the cage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Roger has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Dacke clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Dacke is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Roger.

Roger has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Dacke's body.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Roger has good solid back control here.

Roger will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Roger looks for a takedown but Dacke sprawls well.
Roger takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Dacke leaves Roger with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nils Dacke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Roger.

Dacke closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jerry Roger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Dacke darts in and clinches Roger up against the cage.
Roger goes for a takedown attempt but Dacke pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dacke is trying hard to land a takedown here. Roger sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Roger counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dacke won't be happy with that.
The referee asks Roger politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Roger prefers to stall for the moment though.
Let's hope that Roger has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Roger's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Roger moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Dacke is trying to control Roger's posture but Roger avoids it.
The referee asks Roger politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Roger prefers to stall for the moment though.

Dacke throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Roger tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Roger closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dacke to the mat! Dacke manages to get full guard.

Roger wants to pass the guard but Dacke is keeping the position.
Dacke is looking to stand up but Roger isn't so interested in that idea.
Dacke is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Roger is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Dacke has his foot on Roger's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Roger works his way back into a safe position though.

Roger stays in close to Dacke's body and controls the position.

Roger moves in looking to clinch but Dacke pushes him off.
Dacke defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Roger.
Jerry Roger is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Dacke lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dacke misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Roger.

Roger is looking for a triangle but Dacke pushes his legs off easily.

Jerry Roger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Roger winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
