Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daisuke Hirase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaori Masuyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hirase might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gorgeous Guardian. Daisuke Hirase has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daisuke Hirase!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kaori Masuyo!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masuyo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Masuyo stuffs the takedown attempt from Hirase. Hirase gets slowly back to his feet.
Hirase closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hirase lands in his opponent's guard.
Hirase prevents Masuyo from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Masuyo keeping full guard, as Hirase tries to pass.
Hirase passes Masuyo's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Hirase is controlling the pace.
Hirase tries to pass to full mount but Masuyo defends it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hirase is keen to just control but Masuyo is a slippery customer.
Hirase is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Masuyo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hirase tries to pass to full mount but Masuyo defends it.

Masuyo works his way to full guard. Good work.
Hirase trying to control the position from guard on top but Masuyo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Masuyo looking for a guillotine here but Hirase defends easily.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Masuyo moves in looking to clinch but Hirase pushes him off.
Masuyo tries for a takedown but Hirase circles away easily
and Hirase counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Masuyo keeping moving, preventing Hirase from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hirase slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Masuyo is looking for a sweep.
Masuyo is trying to control Hirase's posture but Hirase avoids it.
Masuyo is not content to let Hirase control the position.
Hirase has hold of Masuyo's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Masuyo seems comfortable defending it but Hirase has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Masuyo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Masuyo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hirase couldn't care less - he's delighted!
