PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ciro Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henry comes to the cage accompanied by Nobody needs nobody. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Henry gets a takedown into half guard.
Gracie is trying to stand up here but Henry is controlling him well.

Henry is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gracie doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Henry .
Henry is pressing down on Gracie's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gracie is holding on for now.
Gracie keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Henry lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Henry throwing shots but Gracie is blocking nicely.
Henry scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Gracie tries to kick Henry off but Henry keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Gracie keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Henry working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Gracie avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Henry .
Henry not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Henry is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gracie sees it coming and defends easily.

Henry is working for a submission of some sort.
Henry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gracie wants to get back to his feet.

Henry is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gracie on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Henry throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Henry looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Henry thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gracie's head.
Gracie is trying to stand.
Henry passes the guard and advances to mount!
Henry lands a big elbow.
Henry scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Gracie?
Henry postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Gracie looks a forlorn figure.
Gracie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Henry . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Henry moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Gracie has worked his arm free - good work by Gracie!
Henry scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Gracie to see if he's OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyler Henry dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Henry shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gracie is trying to defend but Henry finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Henry has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Gracie defend it? Henry steps over the head and cranks it - Gracie is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Henry !
