Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Davo Kettle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Debow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kettle has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Davo Kettle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Debow! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Debow instigates a clinch. Debow pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kettle shoots in but Debow avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kettle is breathing heavily. Debow tries to clinch but Kettle moves out of range. Davo Kettle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice takedown defense from Debow. No joy for Kettle on that attempt. Kettle darts in trying to clinch and Debow counters by clinching up. Debow digs a right hand underneath Kettle's ribcage. Kettle let out a lung full of air as it connected. Debow's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Debow clinches with his opponent.
Debow throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kettles head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Debow pushes Kettle back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Debow pulls Kettle into guard.
Kettle looking to pass the guard. Debow pushes Kettle off and scrambles back to his feet.
Debow turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Debow gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Debow holding his opponent close, against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Debow with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Debow lands a body shot in the clinch.
Debow breaks the clinch.
Debow moves into range and clinches up with Kettle. Debow turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Debow manages to end up in side control. Debow stands up and beckons Kettle to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Debow forces Kettle back against the cage and clinches. Debow working some nice short punches in the clinch. Debow lands a hook that snaps the head of Kettle backwards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Debow displaying some good clinch control by pressing Kettle up against the cage. Debow turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Debow manages to end up in side control. Debow wants to control but Kettle is keeping him busy. Kettle is looking for a sweep. Debow decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kettle to his feet. Debow closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Debow controlling the position. Debow decides to take the fight back to the feet. Debow pushes Kettle up against the cage in a clinch. Debow escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kettle closes the distance but Debow moves to the side and Debow counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. This has been an exciting period of action! Debow fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kettle, pushing him back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Debow goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kettle prevents it.
Debow lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Debow lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kettle backwards. Debow gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Debow is stalling in the full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kettle keeping moving, preventing Debow from controlling successfully. Kettle looking for a guillotine here but Debow defends easily.
Debow slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kettle has his foot on Debow's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Debow works his way back into a safe position though. Debow trying to control the position from guard on top but Kettle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kettle has a closed guard, preventing Debow from standing up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Debow forces Kettle back against the cage and clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A quick uppercut on the inside from Debow. Debow lands a nice uppercut. Debow escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Debow fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kettle manages to avoid it. Debow tries to clinch but Kettle moves out of range. Debow bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kettle is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Debow off and has taken his back! Kettle working for a choke but Debow is defending well. Debow is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kettle gets his way!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kettle has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Kettle is looking for the choke from the back position but Debow is controlling his hands well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Debow fending off the submission attempt from Kettle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kevin Debow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Debow takes the fight into the clinch. Debow drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kettle pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kettle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Debow counters with a nice body kick. Debow clinches. Debow lands with a light punch inside. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Debow landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Debow pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Debow closes the distance and pushes Kettle back into the cage. A knee to the head by Debow.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Debow stalling.
Debow breaks the clinch.
Debow tries to clinch up but Kettle circles away and keeps his distance. Debow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kevin Debow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kettle tries to keep at a distance but Debow has taken the fight into the clinch. Debow lands a body shot in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kettle tries for a takedown. No joy.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Debow takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Kettle takes a knee right on the jaw!

Davo Kettle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Debow. Debow pulls guard successfully.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Debow can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kettle is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Debow scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Debow clinches up with Kettle and pushes him back against the cage. Debow digs a right hand underneath Kettle's ribcage. Kettle let out a lung full of air as it connected. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Debow lands a hook that snaps the head of Kettle backwards. Davo Kettle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kevin Debow is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Debow gets a trip takedown into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Kevin Debow comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Debow has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
