Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hector Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rashad Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans has chosen Step into a World as his entrance music. Hector Hill has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans misses with a wild combination.
Hill looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Evans is fending him off so far but Hill persists. Nope, Evans circles away and we're back to standing.
Evans's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Evans duly obliges.

Evans should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Hill fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Evans throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hill.
Evans lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hill circles away quickly and effectively.

Hill ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Evans throws a nice inside leg kick.
Evans looks to land a right hand but Hill moved out of range.
Hill looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Evans is fending him off so far but Hill persists. Nope, Evans circles away and we're back to standing.

Hill changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Evans looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hill sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Evans is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Hill has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hill scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Hill not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Evans avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hill.
Hill throws a strike but Evans avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Hill is in close to Evans's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hill thows a big elbow that misses.

Evans is looking to stand up but Hill isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Evans clobbers Hill with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Evans throws a shot from downtown. Hill moves away and avoids it.
Evans tries a head kick but it misses.
Evans paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Evans misses with a few strikes there.
Evans throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Rashad Evans is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hill feints and as Evans raises his hands in defense, Hill changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hill throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Evans avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hill is working Evans over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Hill is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Evans is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Evans has escaped and now he's on top!

Hill has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Evans should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Hill has tightened it up now! Evans should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
