Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sherman Tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grant Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel has chosen Fuel as his entrance music. Grant Steel is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sherman Tank! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grant Steel! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tank tries to bum rush Steel with a series of wild strikes but Steel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Steel throws a body punch but Tank moves out of range. Tank wants to clinch. Steel tries a head kick but it misses.
Steel throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tank counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Steel misses with a knee to the head. Tank using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Steel has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Tank lands a shot to the body. Steel has picked Tank up - he's going for a ride! Steel dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Steel wants to free his trapped foot but Tank is holding on for dear life with his legs. Tank misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Steel stands up out of the half guard. Tank fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Tank jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Tank throws a left and a right that both miss
and Steel counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Steel. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Steel wants to pass the guard but Tank is keeping the position. Steel is looking to stand up but Tank won't let him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Steel fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Steel misses with a combination
and Tank counters with a one-two to the body. Steel looks gassed! Tank tries to clinch up. Tank shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Steel counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Steel stands and steps away. Tank gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Tank takes the fight into the clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! A hook to the body from Steel.
Steel wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Tank landing knees to the head.
Steel wants to break the clinch but can't.
Tank connects with a nasty looking knee right to Steel's face.
Tank misses with a knee strike.
Tank lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Steel backwards. Tank tries to pull guard but Steel holds him up against the cage and eventually Tank drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sherman Tank. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steel wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tank tries a knee to the head but Steel blocks it.
Steel stalling in the clinch but Tank improves position. Tank on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Steel tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Tank with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Tank breaks the clinch.
Tank blocks the body kick.
Tank swings for the body but Steel moves out of range.
Tank throws a nice head kick!
Steel gets off balance looking for a body kick and Tank decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Steel's guard. Tank has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Tank trying to move into half guard but instead Steel has managed to sweep! Steel slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Steel prevents Tank from getting back to his feet. Tank trying to keep a closed guard but Steel is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tank is on top in guard.
Tank drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tank jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tank wanted to stand there but Steel had control of the position. Tank trying to control the position from guard on top but Steel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Steel looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Tank passes into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Steel works his way to full guard. Good work. Tank won't allow Steel to sweep him here. Steel is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tank is controlling him. Steel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tank doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Steel is tightening it up a little... Tank has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Tank reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Tank taps out! nice BJJ there by Steel!
