Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Giido Bushido! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paulo Andre! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bushido throws a head kick that half lands.
Andre feints and as Bushido raises his hands in defense, Andre changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bushido trying to keep a closed guard but Andre is proving a slippery customer.
Andre tries to free his leg and advance position but Bushido is retaining full guard. Bushido keeping moving, preventing Andre from controlling successfully. Bushido had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Andre defends it easily. Bushido is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bushido tries to land a sweep but no joy. Andre is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bushido throws a head kick that misses. Bushido pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bushido lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bushido is looking to clinch. Bushido tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Andre scores a takedown into full mount! Bushido stops Andre from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Andre controlling the pace for now. Andre moves to the back. Andre just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bushido trying to control the hands but Andre won't let him. You can see the frustration on Bushido's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

I looks like Andre might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Despite being in the dominant position, Paulo Andre just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bushido moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Bushido feints and as Andre raises his hands in defense, Bushido changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bushido tries to stand but Andre is controlling from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Andre wants to sweep but no luck. Bushido wants to stand but Andre has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Bushido working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Andre is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bushido wants to control but Andre is keeping busy.

Paulo Andre dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bushido gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Andre decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bushido's guard. Bushido being controlled here, momentarily. Andre looking to pass the guard. Andre wants to control from the top but Bushido keeps moving. Bushido is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Andre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bushido swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bushido can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Andre controls the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andre trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bushido has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Bushido not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bushido with a lazy takedown attempt and Andre counters with a nice double leg into guard. Andre is stalling in the full guard. Bushido really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Andre advances to half guard. Andre is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Andre perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Bushido is looking to escape. Bushido is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Andre in particular looking to stall. Bushido is looking to regain full guard. Bushido is looking for a sweep. Andre is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Andre controlling the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bushido is looking to control Andre's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bushido avoid being mounted? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Andre sitting and controlling from the half guard.

Andre tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bushido sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Andre somewhat. Bushido shoots in but Andre avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Giido Bushido. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bushido tries a head kick but it misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paulo Andre showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Andre controls the position.

Bushido throws a front kick that sends Andre stumbling back into the cage. Giido Bushido seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Andre fails to land the takedown. Andre fails with the takedown and Bushido makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Giido Bushido has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulo Andre. Bushido throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Andre. Bushido lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bushido moves into the clinch. Bushido breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bushido throws a head kick that misses. Bushido tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Andre paws at him with a jab and circles away. Andre tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bushido throws a head kick that misses. Bushido closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Andre to the mat! Andre manages to get full guard. Andre is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Andre looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bushido in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Andre looking for a sweep. Not yet Andre, not yet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bushido throws a sloppy head kick and Andre moves out of range easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Andre. Bushido shoots for a double leg takedown but Andre sprawls well. He's pushed Bushido's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Andre takes a kick to the side of the head. Giido Bushido has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Paulo Andre is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bushido tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And that's the end of the fight! Giido Bushido showed his dominance in that final round. I think Andre has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
