Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Armstrong comes into the arena with Mudvayne blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Eddie Brooks enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Armstrong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddie Brooks! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, David Schapiro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armstrong tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Armstrong avoids the body shot from Brooks.
Brooks avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brooks swats away the attempt to clinch by Armstrong. A bone on bone clash there as Armstrong blocks the leg kick.
Armstrong tries to clinch but Brooks moves out of range. Brooks showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Armstrong.
Armstrong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Brooks closes this distance looking for a takedown but Armstrong circles away. Armstrong rushes Brooks and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Armstrong tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Brooks slows down the pace here.

Armstrong lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armstrong creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Brooks's defenses. Brooks on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Brooks tries to work over Armstrong's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Armstrong gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Eddie Brooks has been cut. Armstrong lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Brooks lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Brooks throws a punch but it's blocked by Armstrong. Brooks lands a hook to the side of the head. Armstrong with a knee to the head.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Armstrong as Brooks tries to tie him up. Brooks seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks. Brooks lands a shot to the body. Armstrong lands a knee to the head.
Armstrong utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Brooks blocks an elbow strike from Armstrong.
Armstrong using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Brooks has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Armstrong blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Brooks has hold of one of Armstrong's legs. Armstrong is fighting the takedown attempt but Brooks gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brooks working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Armstrong escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brooks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Brooks lands a couple of elbows. Brooks prevents Armstrong from getting back to his feet. Brooks working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Armstrong's head. Brooks loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Brooks postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Armstrong is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brooks, into his guard. Armstrong wants to get up but he can't break Brooks's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Armstrong is breathing heavily. Brooks lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Armstrong! Brooks lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Armstrong squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Brooks is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Armstrong has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Brooks cracks Armstrong with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Brooks has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Armstrong is forced to tap!
