Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Perl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Kildahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kildahl comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sound of Madness kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jon Perl! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Kildahl! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Bruno Lombardi and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kildahl shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Perl's guard. Kildahl is fighting to break Perl's control of his arms but Perl is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Kildahl tries to free his leg and advance position but Perl is retaining full guard. Kildahl landing with the ground and pound. Perl throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kildahl stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Perl swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kildahl working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Perl escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kildahl gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kildahl looking to pass the guard. Perl is trying to keep Kildahl in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perl pulls Kildahl in to control the position. Kildahl with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Perl throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Perl trying to control but Kildahl postures up.
Kildahl moves nicely into side control. Kildahl throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Kildahl tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Perl is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kildahl off and has taken his back! Perl is riding his opponent, not letting Kildahl buck him off. Perl trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perl lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Kildahl hold on?!
Kildahl just trying to survive but Perl is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Perl keeps control of the position easily here as Kildahl tries to buck him off.

Kildahl looks gassed! Perl is persistently looking for the submission but Kildahl is defending it well.
Perl has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Kildahl's body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kildahl wants to escape the position.
Perl tightening his grip on Kildahl, looking for the choke. Perl has good solid back control here. Perl struggling to keep hold of the position.
Perl scores with punches to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Perl dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Perl shoots and misses and Kildahl counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Perl wants to control but Kildahl is keeping busy and won't allow it. Perl regains full guard. Nicely done. Perl is looking to sweep but instead, Kildahl has passed into half guard.
Kildahl is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Perl has managed to free his arm - good work. Sam Kildahl has got the better of the ground game so far. Perl is looking to control Kildahl's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Perl avoid being mounted? Kildahl missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Kildahl is thwarting Perl's attempts to control the position. Kildahl is breathing heavily.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jon Perl just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Kildahl feints and as Perl raises his hands in defense, Kildahl changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perl wants to sweep but no luck. Perl has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kildahl can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kildahl throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Perl works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Perl working a defensive guard here.
Perl is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Perl is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Perl has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kildahl doesn't defend quickly enough and Perl has managed to lock this one up! Can Kildahl escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Perl on a fantastic submission victory.
