Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scott Benneth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benneth's entrance music is Not Afraid. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Henderson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Benneth.

and Henderson counters with a three punch combo that has Benneth backing up. Benneth nods at Henderson to acknowledge the strikes.

Henderson shoots in looking for a takedown. Benneth tries to sprawl out of it but Henderson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Benneth manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Benneth loads up on a big right hand but Henderson slips the punch.

Benneth tries to bum rush Henderson with a series of wild strikes but Henderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Benneth wants to stand but Henderson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Benneth wants to get up but he can't break Henderson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henderson has his feet on Benneth's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Benneth's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Benneth on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Benneth tries to get out of the position.

Benneth tries to buck Henderson off but he can't manage it.
Benneth in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Benneth is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Benneth trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Benneth is bucking up trying to escape but Henderson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Henderson wants to finish this one by submission but Benneth is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Henderson.
You get the feeling that Benneth really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Henderson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Henderson is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Benneth is forced to tap! Great finish!
