PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tairy Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aidan Kincaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tairy Greene!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Aidan Kincaid!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene shoots for a double leg takedown but Kincaid sprawls well. He's pushed Greene's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Greene misses with a leg kick.
Kincaid closes the distance and clinches up with Greene, looking for a takedown. Kincaid pushes Greene against the cage but Greene circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Greene counters with a shoot takedown. Kincaid fights it but they end up in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Greene accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Greene is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kincaid avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Greene landing with the ground and pound.
Greene wants to control from the top but Kincaid keeps moving.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Greene clinches.

Greene turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Greene wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kincaid keeps working.
Greene tries to score with some ground and pound. Kincaid controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Greene throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Kincaid wants to control but Greene postures up.
Greene fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Greene wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kincaid keeps working.
Kincaid struggling a bit here.
Greene wants to control but Kincaid is keeping him busy.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Greene throws a jab but it's blocked by Kincaid.

Greene bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Greene tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Greene goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kincaid has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Greene but great work by Kincaid.

Kincaid tries to stand but Greene is controlling his head.
Greene is looking for a sweep.
Kincaid wants to stand but Greene has his arm trapped.
Greene tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Kincaid is looking to take a break and control but Greene is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Greene is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kincaid's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kincaid's back!

Kincaid looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Greene is fending him off so far but Kincaid persists. Nope, Greene circles away and we're back to standing.
Greene throws a right and a left that Kincaid avoids nicely.

Greene darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Greene looks to land a strike but Kincaid avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Greene postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kincaid is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Greene, into his guard.
Kincaid wants to control from the top but Greene keeps moving.
Kincaid trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Greene is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Kincaid postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Greene not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Greene lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kincaid!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Greene throwing strikes but Kincaid uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Greene looks to land a strike but Kincaid avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Greene trying to control the position from guard on top but Kincaid is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Greene postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kincaid is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Greene, into his guard.

Greene escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kincaid gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Greene looking for subs off his back but Kincaid has passed one foot through into half guard.
Greene is looking to improve his position.

Kincaid takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Kincaid wants to lay and pray for a moment but Greene keeps working.
Greene trying to control from the bottom.
Kincaid stalling.

Greene looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kincaid in particular looking to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Aidan Kincaid will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Greene throws a nice looking combination but Kincaid bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Greene looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kincaid!

Greene jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kincaid is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kincaid and Greene has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Kincaid regains half guard.
Greene prevents Kincaid from standing back up.
Greene passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kincaid!
Poor strikes thrown by Greene there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Kincaid tries to hold on but Greene postures up.
A nice elbow there by Greene.

Greene with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Greene wants to control the pace but Kincaid is squirming around nicely.
Kincaid is looking to improve his position but Greene isn't that keen on the idea.

Greene throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Greene punching from mount but Kincaid doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Greene throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Kincaid tries to hold on but Greene pushes him away.
Tairy Greene overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Greene unloads with some shots from mount but Kincaid bucks and avoids them well.

Greene is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Kincaid is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Kincaid flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Greene anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Kincaid and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Greene slips an arm under Kincaid chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Greene has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Greene is squeezing on Kincaid like an anaconda would it's prey. Kincaid fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tairy Greene!
