Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between sami koulu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enrique Cimientos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Enrique Cimientos is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, sami koulu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Enrique Cimientos!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cimientos dives in and grabs koulu's left leg, looking for a takedown. koulu pushes down on Cimientos's head and hops out.
Cimientos shoots in and bounces koulu off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cimientos wants to get up but he can't break koulu's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Cimientos stops koulu from standing up.
koulu controls Cimientos momentarily but Cimientos frees himself.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
koulu wants to stand up but Cimientos is controlling him.
koulu could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
koulu is trying to keep Cimientos in close.
koulu can't keep his opponent in guard - Cimientos advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
koulu wants to improve his position but Cimientos is controlling well.
koulu is trying to maintain the position but Cimientos is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Cimientos fails in his attempt to clinch.
koulu takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

and Cimientos counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cimientos.

koulu looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Cimientos makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Cimientos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cimientos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Cimientos sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed koulu's guard.
koulu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cimientos on the ground.
Cimientos works his way into side control.
Cimientos controls the position.
koulu is looking to reverse the position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
koulu seems a little lost for a moment, as Cimientos dominates the positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cimientos is looking to take a break and control but koulu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Despite being in the dominant position, Enrique Cimientos just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

koulu has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Cimientos.
Cimientos throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Cimientos throws a nice looking combination but koulu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
koulu doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Cimientos wants to clinch.

Cimientos lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt koulu or not.

Cimientos is trying to work for a single leg takedown but koulu pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Cimientos manages to break the clinch.
Cimientos shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Cimientos works his foot free and advances to mount.
koulu tries to hold on but Cimientos pushes him away.

Cimientos lands with some vicious ground and pound - can koulu hang on?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cimientos is going oldschool here, as he tries to force koulu to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so koulu shrugs it off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Enrique Cimientos dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

koulu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cimientos.
koulu keeps the fight on the outside.
An inside leg kick from Cimientos misses.
Cimientos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but koulu circles away quickly and effectively.
Cimientos shoots in and drives through. koulu sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

so koulu counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

koulu drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cimientos looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cimientos looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cimientos!

Cimientos is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. koulu is trying to escape and Cimientos transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and koulu is forced to tap! Nice work there by Cimientos! Very nice indeed!
