Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Hugo!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hugo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jacobs circles away quickly and effectively.
Hugo throws a head kick but Jacobs moves out of range.
Hugo takes a swing at Jacobs's ribcage but misses.
Hugo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hugo takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Hugo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hugo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hugo scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Jeffrey Jacobs has been cut.
Jacobs closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hugo did well to prevent Jacobs getting side control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hugo can do anything to dispel that myth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hugo is looking for a sweep. Jacobs is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jacobs in particular looking to stall.
Hugo is trying to maintain the position but Jacobs is very close to passing his half guard.
Jacobs works his way into side control.
Jacobs looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Jacobs is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jacobs trying to control the action but Hugo is working from the bottom.
Hugo tries to buck Jacobs off but Jacobs is having none of it.

Jacobs has hold of Hugo's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Hugo seems comfortable defending it but Jacobs has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hugo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hugo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Jacobs couldn't care less - he's delighted!
