The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garimonde tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Obrien ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Garimonde moves away.
Obrien will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Obrien throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Obrien moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Obrien scores with a body shot.
Garimonde moves in looking to clinch but Obrien pushes him off.
Garimonde keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Garimonde chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Obrien can pounce on him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Obrien blocks a jab.
Obrien uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Garimonde.
Garimonde tries to move into range but Obrien moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Good exchange - Obrien coming out on top.
Obrien shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Garimonde pinned against the cage. Garimonde gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cyan Garimonde has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Konan Obrien.
Obrien keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Obrien rushes Garimonde with punches - Garimonde moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Garimonde goes down! Obrien follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
