Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitsuyo Maeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mando Max (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mitsuyo Maeda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Mando Max! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maeda stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Maeda wants it to stay on the feet. Max throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Maeda. Max has closed the distance and engaged Maeda in a clinch.
Maeda is pressed up against the cage. Max has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Maeda down to the mat. Maeda avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Maeda doesn't succeed with the takedown and Max counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Maeda utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Max is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Maeda is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Maeda has escaped and now he's on top! Maeda preventing the sweep. Maeda trying to stand up but can't free himself from Max's guard. Max trying to keep a closed guard but Maeda is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maeda is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Max is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Max has escaped and now he's on top! Max trying to stand up but can't free himself from Maeda's guard. Max throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Maeda works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Max trying to control the position from guard on top but Maeda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Max tries to stand but Maeda is controlling from the bottom. Maeda wants to sweep here but Max controlling him for the moment. Max looks gassed! Maeda has his foot on Max's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Max works his way back into a safe position though. Maeda working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Max doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Max manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Max looking to sit in guard and control but Maeda gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maeda stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Max swivels though and keeps the full guard. Maeda decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Maeda checks the leg kick nicely there.
Maeda gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Max holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Maeda tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitsuyo Maeda. That's going to take a lot out of him. Maeda has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Max uses from the top position. Maeda looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Maeda has his foot on Max's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Max works his way back into a safe position though. Max trying to control but Maeda is working from the bottom. Max is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mitsuyo Maeda will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Maeda moves out of range as Max throws a body kick.
Max shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Max showed some decent athleticism there. Maeda wants to get back to full guard. Max is keen to just control but Maeda is a slippery customer. Max is breathing heavily. Max slips a nice elbow through Maeda's hands, connecting with Maeda's forehead. Max really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maeda. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maeda won't allow Max to pass to mount. Max is trying to control. Maeda wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Max is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Maeda manages to get to full guard. Max looking to sit in guard and control but Maeda gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Maeda gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Maeda shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Max counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Max. Maeda is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Max defends well. Max advances to half guard. Max is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Max is pressing down on Maeda's thigh, looking to free his foot. Maeda is holding on for now. Maeda looking for submissions off his back. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Max has eaten all the pies! Max moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Maeda.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Maeda tries to bench press Max off him but Max keeps the position. Max working away. Maeda sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Maeda actively working from the bottom here. Maeda avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Max. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Mando Max will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Maeda decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Max, up you get! Max tries to clinch but Maeda moves away and Maeda counters with a nice leg kick. Max shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Maeda but Maeda pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mitsuyo Maeda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mando Max. Maeda shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Max counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Maeda! Max wants to control the pace but Maeda is squirming around nicely. Maeda sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Maeda is staying active underneath Max, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Max throws a strike but Maeda avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Maeda has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Max doesn't defend quickly enough and Maeda has managed to lock this one up! Can Max escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Maeda on a fantastic submission victory.
