Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Led Zeppelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ground Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ground Pound has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Led Zeppelin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ground Pound! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pound swinging wildly here.
Zeppelin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pound throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ground Pound seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pound shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Pound is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pound prevents Zeppelin from getting back to his feet. Pound pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zeppelin is keeping the position for now. Pound controls from within his opponent's guard. Pound really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zeppelin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Zeppelin wants to stand up but Pound is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A head kick misses from Zeppelin. Zeppelin takes a swing at Pound's ribcage but misses. Pound digs a good body shot into Zeppelin's ribs. Zeppelin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Pound to score with a decent uppercut. Pound goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Zeppelin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pound throws a body punch but Zeppelin moves out of range. Pound ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zeppelin moves away. Zeppelin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Zeppelin throws a nice looking combination but Pound bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pound misses the shot to the body. Pound is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Zeppelin rather than just go for the knockout. Zeppelin takes a body punch but keeps moving. Pound blocks a head kick by Zeppelin.

Pound lands a nice hook to Zeppelin's body. Zeppelin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Pound swings for the body but Zeppelin moves out of range.
Led Zeppelin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pound moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Pound misses with a double jab.
Pound changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zeppelin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Zeppelin is letting Pound control him for a moment. Pound tries to move to mount but Zeppelin blocks the move with his legs. Zeppelin wants to get back to his feet. Pound is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Zeppelin's shoulder. That is not cool. Pound's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Zeppelin pushes Pound away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pound gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pound content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Zeppelin wants to get back to his feet but Pound drags him back down. Zeppelin is breathing heavily. Pound is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Zeppelin will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Despite being in the dominant position, Ground Pound just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Zeppelin shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Zeppelin swinging wildly here.

Pound closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Pound keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Zeppelin is trying to stand.
Zeppelin is in trouble now - Pound has advanced to mount! Pound tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Ground Pound just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pound feints and as Zeppelin raises his hands in defense, Pound changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Pound trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pound slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Zeppelin wants to stand but Pound is controlling the position. Pound is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ground Pound dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Pound swings and misses with a shot to the body and Zeppelin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Pound blocks a low kick nicely. A combination from Pound does no damage. Pound wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Pound shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pound was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Pound content just to control the position here. Zeppelin is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

He catches Zeppelin napping and manages to drive through into side control! Ground Pound has got the better of the ground game so far. The referee asks Pound politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Pound prefers to stall for the moment though. Pound tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Pound decides to stand back up. Pound swings and misses with a shot to the body and Zeppelin counters with a big head kick but Pound shrugs it off. Pound misses with a straight left. A left lands for Pound. Zeppelin tries a head kick but it misses.
Zeppelin throws a sloppy head kick and Pound moves out of range easily. Pound scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Zeppelin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zeppelin on the wrong end of a nice jab. A shot to de liver by Pound. Beautiful body shot. Pound's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Pound duly obliges. Zeppelin moves forwards but Pound connects with a nice, crisp jab. Pound rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zeppelin moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Pound throws a series of punches but Zeppelin avoids them all with ease. Pound misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pound misses with a hook. Pound takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Pound's corner calls for a 1-2. Pound obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Pound shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Zeppelin napping and manages to drive through into side control! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zeppelin prevents Pound from improving position. Pound controls the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zeppelin is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Pound has just dragged him back down to the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ground Pound showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Zeppelin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pound displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zeppelin throws out the jab. Pound looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Zeppelin wants to get back to his feet. Pound content to control rather than advance. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Pound not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Pound passes into half guard. Pound takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Pound is looking to advance position but Zeppelin won't allow it. Zeppelin pushes Pound off looking to stand but Pound dives back in and keeps control.
Pound with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Led Zeppelin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ground Pound is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Zeppelin wants to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! Ground Pound comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Pound has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
