Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clinton Jaxon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tristan Duran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Clinton Jaxon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tristan Duran! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jaxon misses with a takedown attempt - Duran sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jaxon shoots for a takedown but Duran saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jaxon shoots in looking for a takedown. Duran tries to sprawl out of it but Jaxon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Duran manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clinton Jaxon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jaxon misses with a head kick.
Duran moves into the clinch. Duran with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Duran is working for takedown but Jaxon is calmly controlling the position for now. Jaxon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Duran uses from the top position. Duran stands up from guard. Let's bang! Jaxon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Duran defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jaxon. Nice sprawl there from Duran as Jaxon shoots in. Jaxon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Duran gets caught flat footed, as Jaxon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Jaxon wants to control from the top but Duran keeps moving. Duran utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Duran is looking to stand up but Jaxon isn't so interested in that idea. Jaxon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jaxon with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jaxon trying to control but Duran is working from the bottom. Duran wants to stand up but Jaxon is controlling him. Jaxon tries to free his leg and advance position but Duran is retaining full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jaxon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jaxon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jaxon is trying to control the position but Duran postures up. Jaxon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Duran is one step ahead there. Jaxon is breathing heavily. Jaxon controls Duran momentarily but Duran frees himself. Jaxon has control of Duran's left arm, preventing Duran from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Duran trying to control the position from guard on top but Jaxon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Duran throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jaxon works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Duran scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jaxon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Duran moves away. Duran tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jaxon swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jaxon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Duran was covering up waiting for the punch and Jaxon finishes the takedown easily into guard. Duran has his feet on Jaxon's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. A punch combination from Jaxon misses. Duran fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tristan Duran will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jaxon fails with the takedown and Duran holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Jaxon tries to pull guard but Duran won't allow it.
Jaxon works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Jaxon takes an elbow to the forehead. Duran pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jaxon swats away the attempt to clinch by Duran. Duran closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Duran gets a trip takedown into half guard. Jaxon is trying to control but can't.
Jaxon kicks Duran off and gets back to his feet. Duran tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jaxon swats him away and circles back towards the center. Duran is looking to clinch but Jaxon is avoiding it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jaxon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jaxon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Duran. Jaxon closes the distance but Duran moves to the side and Duran counters with a left and a right that stings Jaxon. Jaxon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Duran counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Duran. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clinton Jaxon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Duran lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Duran has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Jaxon wants a takedown.

Duran breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jaxon looks to clinch so Duran counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duran throwing strikes but missing. Duran is working Jaxon over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Jaxon is trying to control the position but Duran postures up. Jaxon keeping full guard, as Duran tries to pass. Duran is looking to work some ground and pound but Jaxon has wrist control. Jaxon pushes Duran off and gets back to his feet.

and Duran counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Duran is fighting to break Jaxon's control of his arms but Jaxon is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Duran wants to stand and escape but instead Jaxon has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jaxon wants to pass the guard but Duran is keeping the position. Jaxon stands up from guard. Let's bang! Jaxon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Duran counters by clinching up. Duran lands an elbow inside that Jaxon shrugs off. Jaxon wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jaxon wants to stall.

Jaxon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Duran pulls him back up using the underhooks. Jaxon is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Jaxon stalling in the clinch but Duran improves position. A left hand lands to the body for Duran.
Duran gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Jaxon regains guard.
Jaxon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Duran manages to get himself to full guard.
Jaxon is looking to work some ground and pound but Duran has wrist control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jaxon stands up from Duran's guard - Jaxon perhaps looking for a knockout. Duran takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Tristan Duran showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Jaxon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Duran. Jaxon tries to clinch but Duran moves away and Duran counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Jaxon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Duran can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jaxon pushes Duran off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Jaxon tries for a takedown but Duran circles away easily and Duran counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Duran blocks the strikes from Jaxon.
Jaxon is refusing to be controlled, as Duran sits in half guard. Tristan Duran has got the better of the ground game so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jaxon gets back to full guard.
Jaxon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Duran's guard. Jaxon gets to his feet - Duran follows without any prompting. Duran fails in his attempt to clinch. Jaxon closes the distance and pushes Duran back into the cage. Duran prevents the takedown attempt.
Duran scores with a knee to the head.
Jaxon wants to break free but Duran has control.
Duran lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jaxon backwards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duran throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Jaxon blocks it with crossed arms. Duran using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Jaxon has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Jaxon scores with a nice hook to the head. Duran tries for a takedown. No joy.

Jaxon tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Duran just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clinton Jaxon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Duran avoiding damage as Jaxon throws knees to the body.
Duran makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Jaxon is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Duran gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Jaxon has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Duran looking to stall.
Duran is trying to drag Jaxon to the mat but Jaxon just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Duran goes for a takedown attempt but Jaxon pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jaxon wants to clinch but Duran slips to the side and Duran counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Jaxon has a loose triangle. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Duran accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Duran must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jaxon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jaxon lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Jaxon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jaxon is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Duran pushes Jaxon off looking to stand but Jaxon dives back in and keeps control.
Jaxon uses his free foot to push down on Duran's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Duran. Jaxon controlling his opponent. Clinton Jaxon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tristan Duran is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jaxon throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Tristan Duran comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Duran has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
