Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Haskey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Kingswood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haskey kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ive got the Power. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Haskey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jordan Kingswood! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kingswood closes the distance and clinches up with Haskey, looking for a takedown. Kingswood pushes Haskey against the cage but Haskey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Haskey misses with a takedown attempt and Kingswood counters with a straight right hand. Kingswood misses with a head kick.
Haskey closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kingswood to the mat! Kingswood manages to get full guard. Haskey working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Haskey prevents Kingswood from getting back to his feet. Haskey throwing strikes but missing. Haskey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Haskey drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kingswood looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kingswood looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kingswood! Kingswood wants to lay and pray for a moment but Haskey keeps working. Haskey wants to control but Kingswood postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Haskey is trying to get back to full guard. Haskey is breathing heavily. Kingswood thows a huge punch but Haskey dodges it nicely.
Kingswood is looking to pass Haskey's guard but actually Haskey recovers to full guard. Haskey looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kingswood wants to control from the top but Haskey keeps moving. Kingswood is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kingswood closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Haskey to the mat! Kingswood wants to control the pace but Haskey is squirming around nicely. Kingswood wants to finish this one by submission but Haskey is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kingswood. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kingswood cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Haskey cracks Kingswood with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Haskey lands a big elbow. Kingswood is desperately trying to improve his position but Haskey has a good base and remains in mount. Haskey is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kingswood has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kingswood! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. That's one minute gone in the round. Haskey is working hard here to advance position. Kingswood in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Haskey wants to sweep here but Kingswood controlling him for the moment. Haskey looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Haskey tries to bench press Kingswood off him but Kingswood keeps the position. Haskey is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Haskey takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kingswood has his takedown stuffed and Haskey counters with a takedown into side control. Haskey tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Haskey has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Haskey throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Haskey wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kingswood, who protects the arm well. You can see the frustration on Kingswood's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Haskey goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kingswood has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Haskey but great work by Kingswood. Haskey is trying to work for a sweep but Kingswood has mounted him! Haskey is in all sorts of trouble here.

Haskey landing with the ground and pound. Haskey postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kingswood is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Haskey, into his guard. Haskey is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kingswood defends well.
