Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sonnen has chosen Mosh by Eminem as his entrance music. Mike Tyson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sonnen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tyson is trying to defend but Sonnen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Sonnen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Sonnen wants to pass the guard but Tyson is keeping the position.

Sonnen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tyson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sonnen reaches up to try and control the position but Tyson seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Sonnen rolls and tries to escape and now Tyson has his back!

and Sonnen counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sonnen.

Sonnen throws a strike but Tyson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Sonnen is pulling down on Tyson's head. It's preventing any offense from Tyson, at least for the moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sonnen can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sonnen is refusing to be controlled, as Tyson sits in half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Sonnen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tyson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sonnen has his foot on Tyson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tyson works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Well Sonnen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
