Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tommy OKrapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remco van Noordstrum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Remco van Noordstrum told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy OKrapp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Remco van Noordstrum! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Columbo Gatti and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! OKrapp closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming van Noordstrum to the mat! van Noordstrum manages to get full guard. OKrapp with a flurry of punches that miss. OKrapp knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for van Noordstrum on the ground. van Noordstrum has his foot on OKrapp's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. OKrapp works his way back into a safe position though. OKrapp trying to control but van Noordstrum is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. OKrapp throws a strike but van Noordstrum rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. van Noordstrum passes into half guard. OKrapp is trying to control but can't.

van Noordstrum moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from OKrapp.
van Noordstrum is looking to take a break and control but OKrapp is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. You can see the frustration on OKrapp's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. OKrapp is not content to let van Noordstrum control the position. OKrapp wants to control but van Noordstrum postures up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. van Noordstrum throws a head kick but OKrapp moves out of range.
Remco van Noordstrum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. OKrapp scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. OKrapp fails to land a wild elbow strike.
OKrapp is putting a hurting on van Noordstrum here, landing some big shots from side control. The ground and pound from OKrapp seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. OKrapp working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. OKrapp working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. OKrapp in side control, throwing shots but van Noordstrum defends. van Noordstrum managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by OKrapp.
van Noordstrum struggling a bit here. van Noordstrum tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but OKrapp wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. van Noordstrum can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. OKrapp shoots in and bounces van Noordstrum off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. OKrapp throws a big right hand that misses. van Noordstrum working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. OKrapp doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. OKrapp manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. OKrapp throws and elbow that misses. van Noordstrum uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in OKrapp's guard. Nice move by van Noordstrum!
That's three minutes gone in the round. OKrapp is looking for a triangle here but van Noordstrum uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
OKrapp is trying to improve his position. OKrapp manages to work his way to half guard, despite van Noordstrum's best efforts. van Noordstrum wants to lay and pray for a moment but OKrapp keeps working. van Noordstrum is sneakily working for an arm triangle but OKrapp sees it coming and defends easily. van Noordstrum looks gassed! van Noordstrum prevents OKrapp from improving his position. OKrapp trying to control here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. OKrapp throws a strike from the bottom but van Noordstrum passes into side control!
OKrapp on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if OKrapp tries to get out of the position. OKrapp is trying to control van Noordstrum's posture but van Noordstrum avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. van Noordstrum trying to control the action but OKrapp is working from the bottom. OKrapp tries to buck van Noordstrum off but van Noordstrum is having none of it.

OKrapp scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. OKrapp wants to control but van Noordstrum is keeping him busy. van Noordstrum regains half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy OKrapp dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tommy OKrapp's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. OKrapp throwing strikes but missing. OKrapp has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. OKrapp has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing van Noordstrum to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! OKrapp is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - van Noordstrum pulls down on the head and he's put OKrapp to sleep! This one is all over!
