0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Calvin Hobbs! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Hobbs.
Hobbs drops Evans with a nice combination! Hobbs dives into Evans's guard, looking to finish!
Evans is rocked!
It looks like Quinton Evans has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hobbs pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Evans is keeping the position for now. Oh Evans is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hobbs slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Evans seems to have got his legs back now. Sloppy strikes there by Hobbs. Hobbs tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Evans wants to get back to his feet. Evans prevents Hobbs from moving into mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Evans gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Evans controlling the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hobbs looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Hobbs thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Evans to regain full guard. Evans is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Evans is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Evans is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Evans is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Evans seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Evans scoring with strikes to the body and head. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hobbs can do anything to dispel that myth. Hobbs looks gassed! Hobbs tries to roll over but Evans keeps him under control. Evans lands with a punch from half guard. Hobbs tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Evans drops an elbow to the side of Hobbs's head. Evans winds up and cracks Hobbs with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Hobbs has hold of Evans's hands but Evans slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Evans working the head and body with strikes. Evans takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Evans lands with a punch from half guard. Evans frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Evans with shots to the head and body - Hobbs looks very uncomfortable down there. Hobbs is in all sorts of trouble here.

Hobbs looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Evans is looking to take a break and control but Hobbs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hobbs regains full guard. Nicely done. Evans stands up over Hobbs, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Hobbs throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Evans has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Evans trying to control the position from guard on top but Hobbs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Evans stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hobbs swivels though and keeps the full guard. Evans throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Evans feints and as Hobbs raises his hands in defense, Evans changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Evans's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Evans advances to half guard. Hobbs wants to get back to full guard. Evans lands with a punch from half guard. Hobbs is looking for a sweep. Evans is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Evans working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Evans blocks the strikes from Hobbs.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Evans gets the takedown into side control. Hobbs is trying to strike from the bottom but Evans has passed into full mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Evans not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hobbs throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Evans postures up in Hobbs's guard and throws a big left but Hobbs blocks it. Evans lands a couple of elbows. Hobbs manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Evans manages to get himself to full guard.

Hobbs throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Evans manages to pass to side control. Hobbs throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Evans tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hobbs sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Evans somewhat. Hobbs throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Evans fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hobbs looks to land a combination but Evans avoids it well. Hobbs throws a right and a left that Evans avoids nicely. Hobbs misses with a double jab.
Evans shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Evans was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
And that's the end of the fight! Quinton Evans showed his dominance in that final round. I think Evans has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
