Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson has chosen Simon Says as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Norris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mason Anderson! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson stuffs the takedown attempt from Norris. Norris gets slowly back to his feet. A swing and a miss from Anderson. Norris moves out of range as Anderson strikes. Anderson shoots in for a double leg but Norris sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Anderson scores with a takedown into Norris's guard. Norris is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Anderson is aware though and is defending well. Norris keeping moving, preventing Anderson from controlling successfully. Norris working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Norris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Norris not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Norris is retaining full guard. Anderson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Anderson scores a takedown into full mount! Anderson cracks Norris with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Norris wants to hold on but Anderson pushes him away.

Norris is in all sorts of trouble here.
Norris is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Anderson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Norris can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson controlling the position easily from mount. Anderson tries to control but Norris wriggling away. Anderson looking to control and managing it successfully. Norris working to try and regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Anderson content just to control the position here. Norris tries to get back to half guard but can't. Norris tries to hold on but Anderson pushes him away. Anderson wants to control the pace but Norris is squirming around nicely. Anderson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Norris slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Anderson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Anderson is trying to control the action in half guard but Norris is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mason Anderson dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Anderson missing with a left hand there. Norris was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Anderson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Norris was well out of range. Poor timing from Anderson. Anderson scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Norris throws a head kick but Anderson moves out of range.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Norris sprawls well. Norris wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet. Anderson lands a jab to the nose. Anderson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Norris counters with a body kick. Norris throws the left hand but Anderson avoids the punch easily. Norris looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Anderson! A nice elbow there by Norris.

Anderson wants to get back to his feet. Anderson is breathing heavily. Norris lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Nice strikes from Norris there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson wants to control but Norris is keeping busy.
Still in half guard, Norris seems content to control. Anderson regains full guard. Nicely done. Norris prevents Anderson from getting back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Norris scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Anderson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Norris postures up in Anderson's guard and throws a big left but Anderson blocks it. Norris trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Anderson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Anderson has Norris pulled in close to control his posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Norris cracks Anderson with a solid left hand. Norris missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Anderson trying to control the position here. Anderson working a defensive guard here.
Norris pushing down on Anderson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Anderson wants to control but Norris is keeping busy and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Norris dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Anderson takes a swing at Norris's ribcage but misses. Norris scores with a punch to the head. Norris scores with a jab. Anderson acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Anderson avoids the head kick by Norris.
Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch but Norris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Norris with a lazy takedown attempt and Anderson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Anderson. Anderson trying to control but Norris is working from the bottom. Norris can't keep his opponent in guard - Anderson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Anderson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Norris actively working from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Norris controlling the position for now. Anderson is looking to advance position but Norris won't allow it. Anderson trying to control the action but Norris is working from the bottom. Anderson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Despite being in the dominant position, Mason Anderson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Norris scores with a jab. Anderson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Norris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Anderson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Norris closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Norris lands in his opponent's guard. Anderson pulls Norris in close to his closed guard and prevents Norris from doing any damage or advancing position. Norris postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson wants to stand up but Norris is controlling him. Anderson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Anderson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Norris dives into side control.
Anderson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Norris working away. Norris looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Anderson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Anderson is staying active underneath Norris, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Norris is working for a kimura but Anderson is defending it quite comfortably.
Anderson wants to get back to full guard. Norris is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mike Norris. Well Norris has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
