Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Taka Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Keating (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomi comes to the cage accompanied by can't be touched. Taka Gomi has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Taka Gomi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeff Keating! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomi leaves Keating with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Gomi attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Gomi tries a head kick but it misses.
Keating shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gomi sprawls well. Gomi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Keating gets slowly back to his feet. Gomi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Keating stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gomi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gomi keeping moving, preventing Keating from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Keating stops Gomi from standing up. Keating wants to control from the top but Gomi keeps moving. Keating advances position into side control! Keating trying to control the action but Gomi is working from the bottom. Keating is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Gomi is trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gomi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Gomi throws a series of punches but Keating moves out of range. Keating looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Taka Gomi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Keating. Keating looks gassed! A nice inside leg kick there by Gomi. That's going to slow Keating down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Keating shoots in but no luck this time. Jeff Keating seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gomi misses with a wild combination.

Keating shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. No joy there for Gomi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Keating throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gomi's waist but Gomi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Keating off to one side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gomi has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gomi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Keating fails with a takedown attempt. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Keating shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gomi defends it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Keating has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Keating there as he acknowledges the shot. Some wild striking there from Gomi.

Taka Gomi is winning the standup battle so far. Gomi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Keating. That did some damage! Taka Gomi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fight moves into the clinch position. Gomi manages to break the clinch.

Gomi throws a nice looking combination but Keating bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Gomi throws a right and a left that both miss. Keating fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gomi avoids it really well and circles away. Keating steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gomi. Keating's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gomi with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Gomi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gomi scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Gomi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Keating. Keating shoots in looking for a takedown. Gomi tries to sprawl out of it but Keating keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gomi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Gomi tries to score with a low kick but Keating moves his leg out of the way.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Keating stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gomi. Gomi cracks Keating with a good jab. Keating is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gomi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Taka Gomi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Keating. Keating keeps the fight on the outside.

Gomi moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Keating tries to keep at a distance but Gomi has taken the fight into the clinch. Gomi gets underhooks to prevent Keating's takedown attempt.

Keating closes the distance and clinches up with Gomi, looking for a takedown. Keating pushes Gomi against the cage but Gomi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A nice leg kick lands there from Gomi. Taka Gomi is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Gomi moves into the clinch successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Taka Gomi showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gomi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
