Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Todd Maxwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxwell is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Evan.
Evan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Maxwell tries to avoid it but Evan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Maxwell to the ground. Maxwell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Maxwell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Evan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Evan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Maxwell is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Evan defends well.
Evan controls from within his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Maxwell is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Maxwell can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Evan controls the pace.
Despite being in the dominant position, Burk Evan just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Maxwell tries to bum rush Evan with a series of wild strikes but Evan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Evan won't allow Maxwell to get back to his feet.
Evan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Maxwell wants to stand and escape but Evan is having none of it.

Maxwell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Evan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Evan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Evan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Maxwell connects with the punch.

Maxwell misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Evan.
No joy there for Maxwell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Evan.
Maxwell fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Evan, pushing him back against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Evan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Maxwell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Evan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Maxwell's waist but Maxwell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Evan off to one side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Maxwell throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Evan colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Maxwell as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Evan is left battered and dazed whilst Maxwell and his camp cheer!
