Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Gill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gill comes to the cage accompanied by Welcome to the Jungle. Jeffrey Gill could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marcus Hall's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jeffrey Gill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus Hall!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gill shoots in looking for a takedown. Hall tries to sprawl out of it but Gill keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hall manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hall swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Gill bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Gill taking a break here but Hall is having none of it and regains half guard.

Gill is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hall doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gill.
Hall wants to get back to full guard.
Gill is stalling here. Hall is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gill seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hall has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Hall drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hall jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hall looks to land a combination but Gill avoids it well.

Gill feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hall's calf.

Gill feints and as Hall raises his hands in defense, Gill changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gill passes Hall's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Gill is pressing down on Hall's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hall is holding on for now.
Gill wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hall keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gill looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gill is working for a submission of some sort.
Hall is trying to control but can't.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Gill is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Hall as he works his way to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gill has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hall is proving hard to escape from.
Gill trying to control the position from guard on top but Hall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gill has gone for a leg lock! Hall slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gill's guard.

Hall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Gill shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gill showed some decent athleticism there.
Hall won't allow Gill to pass to mount.
Hall is not content to let Gill control the position.
Gill is really struggling to control Hall but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Gill takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Hall is in trouble now - Gill has advanced to mount!

Gill is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hall is surviving well by controlling Gill's body position as best he can.

Gill has control of Hall's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hall regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Gill goes for an armbar but Hall turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hall.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Hall wants to improve his position but Gill is controlling well.
Gill is looking to take a break and control but Hall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hall wants to get back to full guard.
Hall keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Gill wants to pass to mount but Hall is defending the position.
Gill trying to control from Hall's half guard. Hall has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jeffrey Gill will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Gill throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hall was covering up waiting for the punch and Gill finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hall is looking to sweep but instead, Gill has passed into half guard.
Gill is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Gill swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hall is now in Gill's guard. A big mistake from Gill there, giving up the dominant position!

Gill is looking for a triangle but Hall pushes his legs off easily.

Hall is looking to work some ground and pound but Gill has wrist control.

Gill escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hall gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Gill keeping moving, preventing Hall from controlling successfully.
Hall trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Gill is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hall regains full guard. Nicely done.
Jeffrey Gill overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gill trying to control the position from guard on top but Hall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hall stops Gill from passing to mount.

Gill has hold of Hall's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hall tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gill cranks the arm and Hall screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hall, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jeffrey Gill!
