Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frank Roosevelt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Intisar Ahmed!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roosevelt keeps the fight on the outside.
Intisar Ahmed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Roosevelt checks a leg kick nicely.

Roosevelt shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ahmed napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ahmed is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Roosevelt has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Roosevelt tries to move into full mount but can't pass Ahmed's legs.
You can see the frustration on Ahmed's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ahmed is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Roosevelt is controlling him well.

Roosevelt is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ahmed knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Ahmed is looking for a sweep.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Roosevelt wants to clinch up but Ahmed keeps it at a distance.

and Roosevelt counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Roosevelt.

Roosevelt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Roosevelt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ahmed paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Roosevelt holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Roosevelt jumps guard but Ahmed stands there with Roosevelt around his waist. Roosevelt gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ahmed can't get the takedown.
Ahmed will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Roosevelt up against the cage.

Roosevelt looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Roosevelt tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ahmed trying to control the position from guard on top but Roosevelt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Roosevelt has control of Ahmed's left arm, preventing Ahmed from doing any damage.

Ahmed looks to score with a jab to the body but Roosevelt is just out of range.

Ahmed can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Roosevelt controls the pace.

Ahmed is working an open guard so Roosevelt takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Ahmed scores a takedown into full mount!
Ahmed prevents Roosevelt from getting the reversal.
Ahmed trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Roosevelt sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Roosevelt makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Roosevelt.
Roosevelt pulls Ahmed in close to prevent any damage.
Ahmed forces his way into half guard.
Ahmed wants to lay and pray for a moment but Roosevelt keeps working.
Roosevelt is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ahmed's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ahmed's back!

Roosevelt is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Roosevelt gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Roosevelt gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Roosevelt apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Roosevelt instigates a clinch.

Roosevelt has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Ahmed clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Roosevelt controlling the position well here. Ahmed rolled but Roosevelt kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Roosevelt is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Roosevelt.

Ahmed is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Ahmed trying to control the position but Roosevelt manages to sink in the hooks.
Frank Roosevelt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Roosevelt gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Roosevelt trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Ahmed doesn't escape.
Roosevelt has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Roosevelt drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Roosevelt wants to finish this one by submission but Ahmed is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Roosevelt.
Ahmed tries to hold on but Roosevelt postures up.
Roosevelt sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Roosevelt looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Roosevelt looking to control and managing it successfully.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Frank Roosevelt just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Ahmed looks to clinch

and Roosevelt counters by moving into the clinch.

Roosevelt pulls guard.
Roosevelt controlling Ahmed's posture.
Roosevelt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ahmed's guard.
Roosevelt pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ahmed is keeping the position for now.
Roosevelt is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Ahmed can't keep his opponent in guard - Roosevelt advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Ahmed is looking for a sweep. Roosevelt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Frank Roosevelt showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Roosevelt, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
