Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Song Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hyun Tsubaki!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee misses with a two punch combination.
Tsubaki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tsubaki off to one side.
Lee lunges at Tsubaki with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tsubaki's hand.
Lee misses the shot to the body.
Tsubaki looks for a takedown but Lee sprawls well.
Lee scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Tsubaki fails with a takedown attempt.
Song Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hyun Tsubaki.
Tsubaki will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tsubaki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lee looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Lee sneaks back into half guard.
Tsubaki is looking for a kimura here.
Tsubaki thows an elbow strike that misses. Lee gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Tsubaki doesn't seem too bothered but Lee quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Tsubaki is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Tsubaki really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
