Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Swift (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Kuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swift comes into the arena with This Fire Burns by Killswitch Engage blaring out of the sound system. Nathan Swift has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nathan Swift! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenji Kuraba! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swift fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Swift scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Kenji Kuraba has been cut. Kuraba drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kuraba postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Swift is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kuraba's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Swift tries to get to full guard but Kuraba has control of the leg. Kuraba scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Kuraba wants to control but Swift is keeping him busy. Swift slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Kuraba throws a big right hand that misses. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Swift is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kuraba scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Swift wants to control but Kuraba is keeping busy and won't allow it. Kuraba throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kuraba looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kuraba is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The fighters are battling for position here. Swift manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Kuraba trying to control but Swift is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Some wild striking there from Kuraba.
No joy there for Swift, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Swift doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kuraba counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Swift! Swift is looking to improve his position but Kuraba isn't that keen on the idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swift wants to hold on but Kuraba pushes him away. Swift tries to get back to half guard but can't. Swift regains half guard. Swift regains full guard. Nicely done. Swift keeping moving, preventing Kuraba from controlling successfully. Swift wants to sweep but no luck. Kuraba looking to sit in guard and control but Swift gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kuraba looking for a guillotine here but Swift defends easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Swift pushes down on Kuraba's leg and manages to get into half guard. Swift wants to work for an arm triangle but Kuraba is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Swift controlling the action here. Kuraba is refusing to be controlled, as Swift sits in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Nathan Swift will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kenji Kuraba's cut. That's time! Swift's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kuraba shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Swift working a defensive guard here.
Swift is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kuraba is trying to get back to full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kuraba can do anything to dispel that myth. Swift is trying to control the action in half guard but Kuraba is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Swift keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Swift is thwarting Kuraba's attempts to control the position. Well, if Swift is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Kuraba works his way to full guard. Good work. Swift drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Swift seems to have locked his on tight now - Kuraba screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Swift, as he picks up the win!
