Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Todd Haskins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Leach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haskins comes to the cage accompanied by Amazing. Matthew Leach will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leach looks for a takedown but Haskins sprawls well.
Haskins with a lazy takedown attempt
and Leach counters with a good low kick that Haskins was not able to check.
Haskins throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Leach was covering up waiting for the punch and Haskins finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Haskins pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Leach is keeping the position for now.

Haskins wants to control from the top but Leach keeps moving.
Haskins drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Haskins jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Leach is looking for a triangle but Haskins pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haskins thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Haskins shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Leach as he avoids it easily.
Leach misses the shot to the body.
Leach throws a right hand that Haskins ducks under and follows up with a left that Haskins also avoids with ease.
Leach uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Haskins has time to react.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Haskins shoots in and bounces Leach off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Haskins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Leach swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Haskins is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Haskins postures up.
Haskins sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Leach's guard.
Leach is trying to stand up here but Haskins is controlling him well.
Haskins is keen to just control but Leach is a slippery customer.
Haskins passes the guard and advances to mount!

Leach defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Haskins.
Haskins jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Leach manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Leach wants to get back to his feet but Haskins drags him back down.
Leach sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Haskins is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Leach doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Haskins.
Leach throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Haskins looking to control but Leach is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Leach has given up his back.
Leach tries to break free.

Haskins doesn't have the hooks in and Leach manages to turn into his guard.
Leach looks gassed!

Haskins working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Leach doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Leach manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Haskins is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Leach is aware though and is defending well.
Leach is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Haskins throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Haskins manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Haskins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Leach is just riding it out for now. Haskins eventually gives up the hold.
Leach is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Haskins jumps into side control!

Haskins working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Haskins has hold of Leach's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Leach tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Haskins cranks the arm and Leach screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Leach, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Todd Haskins!
